Favorite Drifting Experience
My favorite experience whilst drifting happened on my first drift walk; the one where I recorded sounds for the first time. It was freezing out; low 20's. It had just been warm in the few days prior though so there was huge puddles from melting snow and ice, and now they were frozen solid. After a while i became too cold to even feel anything at all, and I had to be very cautious of where I stepped so that I didn't slip and fall. At this point from the stress and the cold my body basically became numb to everything but the sound coming through my headphones. I was able to just stand and let the conscious world fade into the background and just listen for any sounds. This opened up a whole world of sounds that i would have overlooked before in a normal state of mind. I believe I captured some very interesting sounds because of this, and could devote all my attention to capturing them.
